Today I made the long trek to the Suffolk coast. 43 miles in total. Most of it very quiet with car-free lanes. The route was recommended by Sustrans, the cycling charity.
The sun was out for most of the day.
As I write, I am accommodated in an en suite wooden chalet in a pub garden in Knodishall on the Suffolk coast. I am sat in the dining area awaiting macaroni cheese.
I think I will sleep well tonight.
I had a wonderful stay over with Sujana and Alokadhara. They were so friendly, hospitable and good company.
Over great food, we talked about so many things in common.
I then spent most of the evening talking with Sujana about the Dharma work we both do. It was a satisfying conversation.
After a good sleep, Sujana and I meditated together and after breakfast, the guys waved me off.
Getting out of Norwich was stressful and mad, but after a few miles, I was in the countryside and the ride took off. I went through Bungay, Halesworth and Yoxford to Knodishall.
I can't remember such a good ride. A ride that I almost thought you couldn't do in Britain now.
Tomorrow, it's a long ride along the Suffolk coast to Ipswich (where I lived for 18 years). I'm staying with my good friend Buddhasiha.
Should be good.
