By 11am, the antibiotics kicked in and I started to feel better. The healing has begun. I went for a walk in the neighbourhood to test it. AB & SB are both at work. I am fascinated by how folk live in affluent Missoula. Large sections of many neighbourhoods contain 'trailers' or what what we would call caravans or mobile homes in the UK. Many trailers look rough. Though Missoula is affluent, there are lots of homeless folk on street corners with cardboard signs. They are called 'panhandlers'. Today, I gave one guy ten dollars.
The weather is much warmer and Spring appears to be here. Hooray!
Went to a giant supermarket on my own for the first time and bought things for lunch. At the self-checkout my payment cards appeared to completely mess up their system. I had three store workers around me trying to fix it. They kept apologising to me and eventually sorted it out with enormous positivity. They were delighted to help me. I don't think it would be like that in a UK supermarket.
I cycled to the bike shop for my 'bike fit'. The guy was very professional and made all the adjustments. It felt good cycling on the shop's rolling road. Somehow that changed when I got out onto the road. Once again, the bike's handlebars and seat felt too low. So tomorrow, I'll go to another bike shop, get a handle bar extender and do the job myself. Having done two big bike rides, I know what works for me.
